Yoga Classes
Maddy has been teaching yoga in the Surrey Hills for over 17 years and believes in yoga as a healing and transformative practice that can bring about better health, vitality, and a broader perspective on life. She teaches in an embodied, skilful and safe way, a gentle style yet works deeply to bring about positive changes in the body, mind and spirit. The classes are suitable for beginners or more experienced students wishing to deepen their practice.
Maddy’s hour-long classes combine mindfulness, yoga breathing, and slow, intentional yoga poses that help reduce stress, anxiety, and backache, while improving flexibility, strength, and overall well-being. These yoga exercises and yoga stretches not only ease lower back pain, neck pain, and hip pain, but also support digestion, bloating, and constipation.
The benefits of daily yoga extend far beyond the mat, helping to improve posture, calm the nervous system, and promote a greater sense of peace and clarity.
Situated in Farley Heath, it is easily accessible from Wonersh, Shamley Green, Godalming, Guildford, Peaslake, Blackheath, Shalford, and Albury.

I have been coming to Kilnhanger for 2 years now and love it. Maddy has a very lovely way of teaching it, always checking we are doing it correctly and adjusting things if needed. The setting is gorgeous, and the whole experience is very special. The perfect antidote to a busy life.

I would not want to go anywhere else to practice yoga. Kilnhanger is very special as the view from the yoga studio is the perfect backdrop for Maddy’s restorative yoga classes. Maddy could not be more welcoming. She is a lovely calming influence and cares very much about the well-being of her ‘yogis’.
I cannot recommend yoga classes at Kilnhanger highly enough. The exercises help to keep me supple and I leave feeling totally relaxed.
